Hello everyone!I'm new to the site and a new Airstream Addict. This is my new gem, always wanted one and finally pulled the trigger on getting one. It's all original but in nice condition. The wife and i plan to remodel it ourselves, but first it will be getting new axles.Everything is functional at the moment, the previous owner used it as a place to live doing turnaround work,i must say he was a very nice gentleman to us.Anyway the trailer is now sleeping in my shop out of the weather for now on.The ONLY thing i hate about these trailers is not being able to easily get to the frame to inspect for rust, and on this one the belly skin is in like perfect condition. But being the OCD perfectionist that i am i know ill end up tearing into it,i do have a couple of rotten floor spots i've noticed and sure ill find more so i'll probably open a big can of shell on floor replacement in the near future. Can someone please tell me the easiest way to inspect the frame?I'm also fixing to have to invest in an arsenal of riveting tools.I'm ready for the challenge,i'm good at carpentry and cabinet building, plumbing, metal fab,i do welding and all.The only thing i'm not good with is the electrical systems in these jewels.I'll have to phone a friend for that. Wish me well on this adventure and any advice or words of encouragement would be much appreciated.
