Original 1968 Manual - how to find VIN owner?

I have an original manual for a 1968 26' International trailer. I am going to sell it but I'd like to offer it to the current owner first. The VIN is I1268J943.

I could scan it and post it on my site. I see people selling scanned versions on ebay. I just don't want to upset the folks at Airstream since it is a copyrighted document. Also, Airstream is selling re-prints of this manual for $30 on their website.
