Possibly Changing Insurance on Airstream

First of all, I admit I was Airstream insurance ignorant - at least until yesterday. I read every single message on Air Forum and am now in a much better position to decide on my insurance renewal. I currently have my policy with State Farm who does not offer total replacement. The only thing listed on the declaration page is that it has a $1000 deductible. So, obviously I do not have a replacement policy or an agreed to amount and will be subject to heavy depreciation in a complete loss situation. The cost being a little less than $700.

Got a quote from Progressive a little while ago that is for total replacement. The price is around $900, a big increase.

My concern is from the comments I have read here and elsewhere that Progressive is great for the first couple of years and then increases the premium substantially.

So, I am mulling it over and reluctant to leave State Farm after so many years of insuring my home and everything else I own.

Thoughts? Comments? What would Wally do?

I have FCIS and it's about $600 for $55k agreed value. They haven't raised rates substantially for 3 years and haven't asked for a new appraisal yet.

We have the Airstream and boat insurance with Progressive. Best bang for the buck for both. The auto and homeowners is with Farm Bureau. Not all with the same company, but feel we have the better coverage on all.

We have Nationwide Insurance, just under 600.00 per year. We insure our 2009 fifth wheel and 2007 FB Airstream.

Erie

Ya might want to try Erie. They will replace with like unit and premium is best I could find. I have insured home/cars for 40 years with no complaints.

Put in a quote request to FCIS. Never heard back from them. I guess they have all the customers they can handle.

I would be interested in hearing if you like Safeco. I have home and car insurance and they were wonderful.

Possibly Changing Insurance on Airstream

Picking my As up on Tuesday, 2017 international 27fb. I called to change insurance over and it increased to around the $400 mark. Full replacement for 5 yrs then actual price paid after that. This is with a $500 deductible through nationwide(Good Sam). I have multiple policies with them for discount.
