Pricing advice for 1964 Overlander
We are considering selling our 64 Overlander (reno thread here)and I'm seeing prices all over the board.
It's had a LOT of work done to it - axles, systems, polish, foam, upholstery, etc but it also has some blemishes. Any ideas what we might reasonably expect to ask?

Not any kind of expert here but an oppinated though not productive owner of 4 vintages. (Not all at once).
Your work is of very high quality and consistent throughout your builds. As you know owners who prefer the vintages come in different breeds. Some like all original features, others like the original look but appreciate the behind the wood upgrades to modern, those that make the inside entirely new while the outside maintains its vintage look. Some can pay to have a pro do these upgrades. Some aquire the skills they don't alraedy have and tools to do the work themselves while doing research to get it right. Some just patch it together with the best skill or care they have and let someone else worry about it in the future. Some just get project paralasis and upgrade to a different trailer (yes we've done that).
Your trails look authentic without being exactly original. Upgrades and changes have been made to repair, upgrade or make the trailer work for your needs and style of camping. None of it detracts from the "64ness" of your Overlander.
As owner(s) who have done your own work you will never get your shop hours out of it. A prospective new owner that has informed themselves a bit will surely see the value of your trailer.
While the crazed flurry for vintages has ebbed a bit. Price it appropriate for what you wish to get out of and maybe a small cushion for negotiating. You can always come down in price a bit if interest is scant. Unlike the housing market it doesn't matter how many days it's listed all you need is the one interested party with the budget.

Be generous to yourself on the listing price. If there is real interest, the final price might be slightly lower.....

Excellent points regarding workmanship, renovation versus restoration and man-hours. We did a very similar project rebuilding our 1963 Overlander, the interior was way too far gone to consider saving. May consider $50k to $65k as an asking price. Was it appraised? That may be a good benchmark.

We sold our '64 Overlander in July 2021 for CDN$25k (US$20k). It had a few upgrades (new dinette, new counters, ZipDee awning) but had not been renovated. There were parts of the floor that were rotten and it almost certainly needed welding on the frame. It was clean and could be camped in if you were willing to overlook a few deficiencies (toilet not working, refrigerator too cold), and it needed new tires and propane tanks.
Here's the site I made to sell it if you want a closer look at the condition.
Prices will vary by area, and keep in mind that we sold during the pandemic when it was not easy for Canadians to travel to the US to buy RVs.

No... it's a sticker shock gasp but in reality when I add up the cost of the PARTS and softgoods (nevermind the labor), axles, fridge, wheels etc I see your point.
