1st post looking at Classic 30 for family adventures

This is my 1st post here. Both my wife and I are looking to get into a classic 30 2015+. What advice can this group lend me for a purchase within the next 12 months. We have a 2 year old and want to start exploring this country on long weekend trips on the west coast. We both liked the classic size and high end feel for our tastes and budget, however I was looking at model year 15-17" and was wondering about the major differences that would be make it or break it for fellow classic owners. The reason we like 15"+ year models is the higher end feel and the modern amenities. We have only seen a 15,16,17", so we don't have anything to compare them to from prior model years. We looked at the cloud and a few others this weekend at the new Las Vegas store and we're both blow away with the quality and comfort of Airstream vs my friends and families standard box trailers.
Any insight into a classic ownership is welcomed, thanks in advance
Chris
