Hmmmm... India?

I was wondering if it would be possible to hit a far east country with an Airstream, such as India, China, etc? My first thought is the roads wouldn't hold for it, but maybe someone has experience with this. If so, do you know the provisions for shipping etc?

I was in India 2 years ago and had a private car/driver to tour all over Rajastan. In my humble opinion it would be impossible to drive with a trailer there. You cannot imagine the hordes of people and animals in addition to the horrendous drivers. I am an over the top adventure type and I would not consider it. How about visiting sans camper first and then if you think you can handle it take one over? The other thing is the accomodations are so good and so cheap there's no way you would amortize the cost of shipping your rig.
