Wow, sorry that post got long. I was cut off trying to edit it to correct that the subwoofer has a built in LPF, not HPF and long story short, using the HPF (probably at 120) for the regular speakers can help a lot. Even though the regular speakers can't reproduce the low frequencies well, they are going to try, and they will end up distorting much earlier than they would if you high pass them at 120 and let the subwoofer do it's job.
This looks like excellent advice. Can anyone advise if the same controls exist directly on subwoofer in Flying Cloud bunk? If so - where is the subwoofer located? Thanks!
In my AS the sub is under the dinette. That seat creates a box. It is mounted towards the wheel well. Ridiculous!!! I repositioned the sub facing the inside.
Would you mind if I used the Beatles as a test song?
Probably not a good idea. Although I love the Beatles, some of their songs were recorded on the most basic of gear.
Back in those days players were a needle on a record.
My go-to test CD is George Michael with Queen, cut 2 "Killer".
I've never heard a recording with so much dynamic range. Everything from subs to cymbals and everything in between.
