Looking for parts for our 345

My wife and I just bought a 1986 345. It's in very good condition but the PO did remove some things that we would like to replace and it does need some things. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a parts coach.

There is a 345 for sale at a reasonable price near us that has everything we need, including five awnings, the electric step, an over/underdrive and all the bits and pieces to make a really superior coach but wonder if we could re-sell the coach when we are done, containing all the swapped out parts. I'm asking a pretty tough question here but you guys always give great feedback.

Good luck with your endever. When I remove parts, they're spent! Will be interesting to see what surfaces.

Let me see if I'm understanding this post. You've recently purchased an '86 345, which is in need of several items. You've found another 345 locally that has the needed parts for your new purchase.
Then you're considering selling after needed parts are installed in the '86? or the donor?
Have a feeling that if you can pick up the donor fairly cheap, you'll have a great buy, simply because lots of the parts are unavailable, or just EXPENSIVE to purchase (think bumper banana wraps) As well, donor coach may have some various bits and pieces that your new purchase doesn't.
Am I correct so far?
Thanks, Derek

If you end up parting one out you'll find plenty of customers here anxious to buy.

I dont know of a parts coach but you may want to send an email to: wa3vez@comcast.net

The mans name is Howard and I believe he traded his 345 back in 2009 at which time he advertised he has lots of 345 parts at good prices. Honestly dont know what he has left but it's worth a shot. Pretty sure he's also in Texas.

Derek,

You got it right. The coach in San Antonio has many good attributes but it also needs so much that it is not a good restoration candidate. However, it has five good awnings, a good rear bumper, the electric step, some cabinetry and a bunch of other stuff that will make our coach that much nicer. When we are done, the coach will still run and drive and still have many good parts on it. Then we will probably sell it as a complete unit but might part it out. If we do get it, I will keep everyone informed.

Hi All! I have a 1986 345 that I have purchased that I may turn into a parts coach, The unit is fairly decent shape and I was going to use some parts to fix my 1988 325 that I have restored, The problem with the coach is that previous owner was older fella and put the rear air bag system on a switch it works and holds air but not automatic . the unit is at my brothers in the city I bought It, here in western canada, I will bring it home to Calgary in April or May,I have quickly ran everything and all appliances seem to work even air and generator, Thanks Jonathan

If either of you decide to part one out, think of me. I'm in the market for the driver's side windsheild and the wood blinds that go over the galley sink.
