Looking for a good Airstream repair/ renovation for our 85’ 454 LE motorhome

Hi all I haven’t posted in a few months but I am always reading all of your posts just to learn and make mental notes for future needs.
We purchased our 85’ in August last year, she was in the repair shop since the day we purchased her and she broke down driving home, we got her back in November but couldn’t get her smog test to pass so she went back in until two weeks ago, she passed rebuilt the carburetor again. She is running very well right now.
At this time we are looking to take her to a good place to have all of her thoroughly looked at and make sure everything is in good running order like electrical, all fans need replaced, an air conditioner worked on or might need a new one and the list goes on so that we can have her ready to take out and start enjoying her.
I’m really nervous to just take her anywhere.
We live in Valencia Ca, which is in Southern California.
We stopped by the Orange County Airstream last week when we were in the area, they said they work on vintage airstreams so we thought about taking her there?
Any information or suggestions would be helpful
😊

My thoughts would be, you're looking at 2 different things

1. somewhere that specializes in or is known for restoring old airstreams. Especially since you're in socal where those exist.

I hear mixed reviews about having airstream dealers do the work, especially on older rigs, you can pay 5 figures for $125/hr labor and end up worse than you started.

2. A reputable mechanic or GM service center for the P-30 chassis. The fact that it's an airstream is irrelevant to them, it's just a p-30 truck chassis
