I am going to replace the batteries in my sporty 1977 Argosy 20. Right now it has two 75HD batteries. The previous owner indicated that the house battery was weak and might need replacement. My original Owner's Manual does not specify the battery type or even which battery is the engine battery. The 75HD appears to be a starting (engine battery) and not a deep cycle battery which would be appropriate for the house items.
- What are the two correct battery types?
- Which wires go to the engine and which ones to the coach.
I am guessing the heavier ones go to the engine. I'll have to disconnect one of them and see which area no longer has power.
