NOVA WBCCI Air Force Museum Rally
This past weekend NOVA enjoyed the "Famcamp" on the grounds of Wright Patterson Air Force base in Dayton Ohio. 5 units enjoyed the great weather! We all arrived Thursday day and evening.
On Friday morning, we had reservations for a special "behind the scenes" tour of the restoration hangers employed by the National Museum of the Air Force. Various aircraft are currently undergoing restoration. Two B-17s, "The Memphis Bell" and "Swoosh", consume most of the effortt of the shop.
Saturday we spent several hours at the regular museum, and also the Presidential hanger that houses many previous "Air Force Ones".
I believe I speak for everyone when I say we all had a great time!
Of course I can finish this report without an open invitation to any airstreamer to consider joining the WBCCI NOVA unit. We have some great plans for the near future including a circumnavigation of Lake Erie.
