Balloon Rally In Va.

Wow !What a week in Va. we just had a fantastic week at the WDCU
Rally. There were 26 units present. From all over the USA. & Canada.
The hosts were Great !! Paul Waddall and His wife,Mary Kim ..they had
all the details worked out with potlucks and tickets to the Balloon
Launches ,& The Civil War Reandactments(?)many friends were made and
stories to tell. The Balloons were at least 30 in all. Paul even set
his Balloon up at the campsite on sat morning for all of us to
enjoy.and gave some a teather ride above the Airstreams.It was great
to sit back or visit some of the local sites. we all hated to see the
weekend come to a close but it was time to move on down the road !!

Yes, it was a super rally! We went up to the Balloon Festival at dawn Sunday and the launch was absolutely spectacular! What a super way to end a rally (plus the weather that day was nothing short of amazing). Well, looks like that will be our last event of the year, so we're looking to winterize and replace the floor. Rick's also talking about fixing more of the plumbing (every trip, something new leaks)! Now I'm trying to figure out which friend from the North you were!

I did take a few picks, but, um, I can't find my camera! I tore at the floor today for about a half hour, then decided that it was too cold and much nicer to work on curtains. Need I say--the trailer looks a bit like a wreck right now! The good part--so far, no rotted underflooring. I'm hoping this continues!

Hope all is going well in the great North. It's nippy even down here in the semi-South but we are enjoying a warm fire in the wood stove.
