A wise move to stay South. Snowing this AM in Santa Fe - - a couple of inches of wet stuff with more expected this afternoon. I-25 already closed from Las Vegas North to Raton. Blizzard conditions expected there. Another storm is due on Friday.

Lows forecast to be in the teens all week.

Need enough good weather to be able to get the AS up the drive for Picacho!!!!!!

Picacho 10-Day Forecast

It looks like the typical weather has returned to Picacho Peak this year just in time for our Rally. It is going to be really nice!

It was 3 degrees here in Montrose, Colorado. We thank you so much for accepting us as guests and sound like you have also taken care of the weather. Looking forward to meeting you all next week.

Yes, Bob & Pat...Louis ordered that weather especially for the Rally! Good job, Louis! We're at Lost Dutchman State Park near Apache Junction for Christmas ... kinda windy and cold here today, and we had some sprinkles (left like it was trying to snow) last night, but after today temps are supposed to be on the upswing. Looking forward to seeing you next week and tow safely!

Weather update is even better, 70's daytime temps, and SUNNY! Nighttime lows in the 40's perfect!

Had a nice visit with Kingfisher24 and Phoenix & Peabody today...we are staying in the same campground (Lost Dutchman State Park near Apache Junction) until we all move down to Picacho Peak on Thursday for the 4CUnit New Year's Rally.

It's a very small world when you're towing an Airstream and an even smaller world when you're towing and Airstream AND part of the 4CU. We're always running into both when we camp...it's great!

We'll regroup again at Picacho Peak on Thursday!

Up, Up And Away

We hope to join that world on Thursday also! All we will have to do is make it through the remaining snow and ice on the driveway. Once we hit the flat, we are on our way. Will overnight in Benson, AZ and make our way to Picacho Peak on Thursday.

Barbara & Janis are heading out from AQ tomorrow as well...and will be staying over somewhere along the southern way...not quite sure just where...maybe you'll see them! They are due to Picacho on Thursday, too... And Mike & Frank from TX are headed this way, too...yippee! The Gang of 4CU Aluminum is converging! Weather is going to be stupendous!

Howard,
Put the trailer in 4WD, push the truck out the driveway, and DO NOT park in the Hatch church parking lot

Arrived at Picacho Peak State Park this afternoon about 2 PM...there were 4 of us coming in at the same time from the north and the south...kinda fun seeing all these Airstreams lined up at the Ranger Station checking ...so far there are about 15 rigs here our of the 32 expected... a great bunch of happy campers! Tomorrow is actually the first day of the rally but we got a good head start on it today! More later!

You all are so lucky to be there.

We finally got our trailer repaired and back last night. Too late to go. Sigh...
