The swap meet is Saturday morning, you just have to reserve a table when you register.

swap meet
Hey if anyone sees that step stabilizer for Airstream steps that goes from an under beam to the second step (post with a lip) will you pick it up for me? Not those wedges that you install on both sides. I saw members come away with some back in 2005 at Sarasota but the vendors were gone by the time I found out about those. I have tried to contact people and search for them but so far to no avail. I will gladly pay you for the item and shipping and something towards your time. Or even ask them to hold one and get me a contact info and I will deal direct. I really want one.
Thanks for keeping an eye out for it if you are attending the swap meet or vendor's areas.

Oh, no, I didn't mean for it to sound that way....I was attempting, tongue in cheek smugness! I'm tickled to death to be going. I'm a history nut, and traveling in another country is very exciting to me.
I'll keep check on the AS's, however, except for that one trip with the special built AS's, I'll bet China has seen very few of them.
As for the flea market, the one at Sarasota is a well organized, and very well attended one, although, most lookers (the last time I went) were not looking at doing complete rebuilds or restorations. They are a good bunch of buyers, however. If we were gonna be here, we definitely would go.

New Glass/More Polish
Replaced all windows. Two more days of polishing and painting, and we will be headed to the Fla. State Rally. Need a break from the cold.

Tour of the 60 Pacer
Rick,
The Pacer is available for a tour most anytime, not just on open house that is on Sat. This unit that my wife and I are redoing is going to be for sale at the rally. Spread the word if someone is looking for a small unit. Hope to see you there.

Its almost time ...
The big rally starts next week. The VAC will have happy hour every evening in the VAC parking area. Bring a snack to share. We will also have a covered dish dinner on Friday. Weather looks like it will be nice 70s - 50s.
I'll also give two VAC presentations during the rally that were developed by our historian, Fred Coldwell:
1932-1957 Airstreams
1958-1968 Airstreams
These presentations point our the subtle and beautiful features of our Airstreams as they evolved over time and help you identify an Airstream by these features.
The presentations won't be on your schedule but I'll sign up for a room/time and have it announced during the evening announcements and at the happy hours.
Forum members are welcome!

We won't be there Friday night for the covered dish. (Stinking Job!) We should be there early Saturday morning. What time are the happy hours?

About 4:30 or 5:00 PM. That gives time to eat before the nightly program which starts at 7PM.

2007 Florida State Rally
I am flying down (Trailer at GSM being restored) with my Family to attend my first rally.
Does anybody have a list of events there (in particular - when is the open house?)
I will in the are from THursday thru Sunday - can't wait.
Any information appreciated! (I did check the WBCCI site but it did not have anything besides the dates).

The Vintage Airstream Club's Open House will be on Saturday afternoon (Feb 24).
see:
http://www.airforums.com/forum...3&d=1169487642
NOTE: this schedule is an OLD leftover electronic version from 1995. The schedule for this year is not available until you check in or register at the rally. But this is representative of the activites at the rally and activities will PROBABLY be roughly the same day/time.
Also look at the other thread on the FSR 2007 under WBCCI rallies in these forums for more info about the rally.

I've combined the two threads so everybody only has one thread to keep up with.

We're already in Florida, at Mystic Springs park Heading out tomorrow toward Sarasota. We'll be with the vintage group. Avonton is 8 miles outside of Stratford, south of Sebringville, north of St. Marys.

Attend with no Airstream?
I have read all the posts and think it is ok to attend for a day without an AS?
Is that right? We do belong to WBCCI. Do we wear that badge? Will private parties have their AS for sale? Will almost all be there Wednesday? Or will attendance maybe double later in the week?
Thanks!
Pat
