Springstream 2011 in North Georgia
APRIL 8-9 WEEKEND IN THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS OF N GEORGIA....
It's not yet winter and we are already thinking about our April Rally. We have had many of these at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Campground on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee GA.
Convenient to the Carolinas, Tenn, Alabama, and we have had campers from way further than that.
Sponsored by Georgia Airstream Campers..this event costs nothing but your campground fees.
We have a shared brunch and dinner on Saturday...music jam Saturday night, and the ever popular Tour of Homes Sat. afternoon where those who choose to can show their trailer, or motorhomes to the group. Always a favorite time to see works in progress and more.
Reservations become available on Jan 2 2011, not before. Call the campground for booking info. We will be in Section B and C in the Main Campground Area 2...waterfront and waterview sites are plentiful.
Make plans to join us!

I will attempt to make a reservation tomorrow. I want a water front site this year.
We had to miss Falluminum. My husband schemed to the last minute trying to justify shoehorning it in with a Sat/Sun cross race in Savannah. It was a delusion.
No conflicts at the moment but that may change when the rowing schedule comes out later this month.
We will be bringing the new-to-us Westy. The CCD is now parked safely under a big white barn in Indiana. Her new owners have a big trip planned for her in the spring/summer.
We will also have our bikes again. The pedal kind. Dave is in training for the Assault on Mt Mitchell again and will be taking a long multi-pass bike ride. If anyone rides in the 18mph range and likes to climb he would love to have company.
I will probably do a lake loop again if I can work up the nerve to ride that main street. It is sooo scary!
We will have Cooper our JRT too. He likes the Westy better than the CCD!
I wish our son could come. He got a banjo for Christmas! But college is more important than Airstreaming.

Just called and got B6 for Springstream and A42 for Falluminum. She said there was nothing available in section B for the Fall rally.
The Charlie Daniels Band will be performing there on March 19. Tickets go on sale Feb 4.

I can't wait
I made my reservations yesterday. This will be my first attemp to meet all you guys. I was given B9. Within the next two weeks I hope to put in a new furnace, finish polishing and pull this 10 month project out of the barn and see how it pulls. This will be a good trip for us.

By the way GAT mine still has no plumbing, no fridge, and not quite ready for propane.

It can be lots of man hours
My project has been lots of work but retired I can work most days. If not it would take for ever. Pex was time consuming but glad I did it. I sure have learned a lot about AS and now see why folks want them. Polishing is really a chore.

You will do good
Alan, I saw the AS you had before you got the 66. You will find it easer then you think except being short one fitting and stop and go get one then again, again. Go ahead and spend the money for hot water heater bypass and winterize valve. Other than standing on your head you can do it. remember the rules on plumbing. Cold on right, hot on left and everything runs down hill.

I thought the rule on plumbing was: two more trips to Home Depot.

every project I do is 3 trips to HD. 1 to get supplies, one to correct the wrong supplies, one to return excess supplies.
