Maxton Mile (East Coast Timing Association)

Any speed/racing fans out there?

Just want to know if there might be interest in attending an East Coast Timing Association event in Maxton, NC.

Welcome to ECTA

ECTA holds several events every year similar to what you'd experience at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The 2010 events were/are:

April 10-11
May 22-23
June 26-27
September 25-26
October 30-31

ECTA permits camping but it's boondocking so the April, May, September and October events might be acceptable. June is likely too hot. I'm leaning toward April or October.

This looks like fun. Maybe in a few years.

I think Brad could take that Viper... while towing even.

I know some folks who'd gladly ride along.

Okay.... I'm throwing this out again to see if there's any interest. Come on... there's gotta be some speed freaks out there somewhere! Boondocking at Maxton in October.

The dates for 2011 events at the Maxton Mile are:

• April 2-3
• May 14-15
• June 25-26
• September 24-25
• October 29-30

We're interested in April, May, September or October. June is out as far as I'm concerned as this is a boondocking location and the weather may be too hot for my liking.

I contacted the event coordinator and was informed Friday arrival is okay.
