Great rally, the best we've ever been to.
I didn't do a count but we must have about 60 units, come summer time you need to start thinking about booking for '09.
After last nites feast they MAKE you have breakfast in an hour or so.
A few found some great bike paths outside the park, they may go over 20 miles. I could only do 6, next year?
We need more pic's posted

2008 can opener
Whow !!! what a rally. This was our first airstream forum rally and we can't say enough. This is how to do a rally. The people were great and the open format was the way to go. Pot luck dinners instead of cooking for for 20 or more, no meetings instead fun hospitalities at peoples trailers-- WBCCI TAKE NOTICE

Carol, did you find your cat? Our daughter is worried about the cat. We had such a good time, even with the crutches and the knee brace, it was still fun. Thanks for all ya'll who made it happen.

The parties over
We are home, not by choice. The weather today was perfect, even warm enough for shorts so we hated to leave. 6 1/2 hours at a lesurely pace, with a tail wind and the onboard MPG-o-meter shows 17.8MPG for the return trip. Good news with the cost of diesel at Topsail at $3.499
This was our first rally and I can't imagine one being better. Great to finally put some faces and names to the various folks I've met on-line. I even managed to avoid the attack of the Killer Guard Turkeys... .
Me and the Misses look forward to the next time we can meet up.

We too had a great rally. It was our first and turned out better than we anticipated - from making many new friends, eating great food, and enjoying the music of JT and Debbie - it was all wonderful. Thanks to everyone who made it happen and especially Steve (Devoman). See you again somewhere - we're planning on the Springstream in April.

The Clarks are home and the trailer is in her shelter. We had a great time, good food, fun, and music. Met many new friends and I am sure we will see many of them again. Thanks to Devoman and all who made the Can Opener 08 a success.

The SwampBillies are back at the ranch also. We had such a great time. This was our first forum rally and I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it. We just kept talking all the way home about how great everything was. The food, the park, the new and not so new friends.
Thank you, Thank you, to all the people that worked so hard to get this put together. We will making plans for next year!
PS: Dustin says hi to Luke and Logan! Hope to see you next year!

Priceless weekend
An absolutely perfect weekend.
We could not have asked for a better maiden voyage for the Argosy.
Topsail is a beautiful place.
Thanks to everyone for making this a wonderful event.

We also enjoyed the rally and meeting all the great folks that were there. The live entertainment was a very special treat.
Lucy made the 3 mile trip home without incident. A great big thank you to those who organized this great event. We look forward to doing it again next year.

The Moss clan made it home around 9 all safe and sound. We all had a wonderful time, especially the kids. Luke says hi back to Dustin, he had a great time playing with Dustin. Thanks to Niles Rob it looks like my little girl wants to be a drummer(note to self, start building sound proof room). Martin's Argosy is the shiznit( that mean's Cat's Meow to my Laurence Welk era friends), I am jealous. I got lots of great ideas to further restore my Argosy. Everyone was super nice, special thanks to 2Air for the drill, Michael for the grease, kid's gifts and good conversation. Also thanks to Carol for not giving me an attitude adjustment, very nice lady. Also meant to tell the Swampbillies thanks for sharing the fire and I loved y'all's decor especially the lonnghorn. Ashley and Greg thanks for letting the kids and I hang out and shoot the bull( Vann is still talking about his new friends), I hope Frogger is still alive and well, good luck finishing up your residency Greg. Another big thanks to the coolest GreenBay fan on the planet, OverlanderandSea, also the oldest vintage AS in attendance, very cool. Thanks to Steve for all is hard work and a word of advice, you need to get a bigger stick dude. The Goby's for the hospitality and having the coolest two wheeler there, nice old beemer Phil. Thanks to those who hosted the happy hours/ raffle drawing and the great Scoobydoo movie. Also to my neighbor, one the coolest fellow school teachers I've had the pleasure of meeting, thanks for putting up with the 2loudcrew. Jim Clark I hope this was a great kick off to your retirement, you need to start practicing up on your shuffleboard. Michelle, Julie says hi and next year I'm bring a truck load of mice from our field just for your cat. JT and Debbie thanks for the music and y'all ain't old just experienced(at least your hair ain't blue yet). Clancyboy those cheese grits hit the spot for breakfast and the boys loved the King cake Greg. To everyone who cooked something for Potluck, that was the best d#$%ed potluck I've ever been allowed to attend, scrumpliscious. Prvtr, nice to meet some folks from our neck of the woods, take care. I know I'm forgetting some folks but there were just so many nice folks it was unbelievable. Thanks everyone.
P.S. Michael/ArtStream, well how was that steak???
Hope I see y'all out on the road before I see y'all at the Canopener next year.
