Dang it there John! Piles and pinworms ain't no laughing matter - why you could be sick fer weeks! Keep up the treatment man. Also noticed if you haul a walk in freezer into the woods and leave the door open, possums will meander inside. I've got four possum-sickles waiting for the bog, do we need anymore ?

Cuzzzin Dave,

the worms are really kicking up. If the heat doesn't break soon, I will need to take drastic measures. Even the possums are laying low, in the shade.

BTW a friend gave us a dometic RV style ice maker. Not too bad.

I was taught to always boil road kill for 30 minutes to tenderize and kill any lingering beasties (worms, etc).

Hello all,
A few weeks ago I PM'd John with an idea for this Fall's gathering and have spoken to other attendees as well. They all agree that getting together to share favorite RV parks/destinations will be exciting for all. Attached is my original post to John. PLEASE, PLEASE come and join our group with your favorite/interesting destinations. I am putting this out early to allow all to do a little planning/research/preparation before the rally. If we get people excited about events at these rallies, not just the food orgies, I feel it will be a more meaningful experience, not just for newbies, but add to experienced AS travelers as well.
So put on your thinking caps and come up with your ideas and bring them on!

We were new to Alumalina this past Spring, and noted several others that said this was their first also. For example: we lived in Wyoming a couple of years ago and found this really interesting area around Kemmerer, WY that is one of the most popular fossil finds in the USA. We have information and some small samples of fossils we have dug there and would investigate area camping locations. A lot of people travel to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and might be interested in a side trip if they knew about some other destinations. Just our idea for this Fall if you want to put it out there for volunteers.
Look forward to this fall, we are heading out to WY, ID, area for a couple of months but plan on being back in NC in October for Alumalina. See you then
