Thanks Marty. As the number grew I had become worried about how to get everyone in. Hated to turn folks away from such a good time.
The Cove has never had such a big crowd and they are as excited as I am about adding the dry camping to facilitate large rallys.

That's so great to hear! The girls and I are excited to be there, and can't wait for our first experience dry camping. Please note, we WILL be there, but not until 7 pm Friday night. School gets out at 2:40 and it's a 4.5 hour drive. If a full hookup spot opens, we'd definitely rather that, but are just happy to be a part of things. This will be our first Alumalina! Thank so much for all you did to put this together

Alumalina has become wildly popular not because of me, but because of the fantastic people that come to it....there are simply none better.
And we are especially excited that you are bringing your entire family. Your girls will find their new best friends there.
There will be a spot for you, regardless of what time you arrive so please don't rush and invite a mishap. No gates will be closed, the welcome wagon will be open.
Great food, fun, fellowship, and the rally ain't bad either!!.

Great news for everyone- More the Merrier!
John,
Palmetto Cove will rock this October..... What fun to have this large of a group of Airstream folks. This may push the largest group of Airstreams in one place including a recent Region 3 Rally at Ladson, SC.
For all of the first time attendees(Alumalina) you are in for a great fall rally weekend in a lovely location. To get up early in the mornings and go up to the large shelter, grab a cup of hot coffee and relax in a rocking chair then watch the sun light hit the mountain side in front of you, is wonderful. Bring your camera for this rally. If there is a chill in the one of the fire builders will have the large fire place rolling from early AM until late PM.
There will be lots of smaller group gatherings at any time of the day, just bring you folding chair and join in the group conversations. It is a great way to make new friends and catch up with friends from other Airstream rallies or caravans.
Of course John always has a great agenda of informative talks by fellow air streamers. We have found out a lot of information by attending the talks. A real plus for this rally is there are always past and present Regional and National Officers attend this gathering... What fun.
John & Susan we are excitingly counting the days to the Fall Alumalina rally/party at the Palmetto Cove in October.

Story teller
John, I have a friend that is a story teller he was part of the Blue Ridge tellers, would it be ok if asked him to come by either Friday or Saturday to do a little stand up around the fire, it's clean good for kids of all ages? A suggestion is to arrive with a full fresh water tank, and empty grey and black tanks. And full propane. We will guide you through it. Quiet generators would of course be welcome. You will very likely find out how easy it is and how many more great camping spots/opportunities dry camping opens up.
Depending on how many actually show up, we may not even need dry camping but having the option means we are no longer limited to 125 rigs, all are welcome and the more the merrier. We are excited about setting a new record for attendance.
We do have meals to plan for so it is always good to have a head count so please post that you are coming if you have not already done so.
Great people, great location, great time.

This is why the the Alumalina gang is the best on the planet.
Everyone pitches in, to make sure everyone is happy.
Doug, Friday night would be great for the story teller. After our traditional possum bog, we have open mic night and story telling. Some of it might be borderline lying but it is always good and G rated. Thank you for setting it up.
Pecan, mighty generous offer of the use of the ginnys. Love to have them, there may be some that will need them to keep the batteries topped off. As a side note, this will be a great opportunity to try dry camping.

 Hey John, This will be our first time attending this rally and we are on the overflow list. My question is will all of the overflows be out in the field and not under any trees? The reason for the question, is that we have the solar package, which should keep our batteries charged with no problem as long as we are in the open. Thus eliminating the need for a generator. We are still hoping for a site with hookups but we are way down the list. "Wishful Thinking?" Sounds like you are doing a great job, trying to accommodate everyone!

Duke, no problem with trees, the Cove is a solar power haven. The entire rally field is in the open. It is wall to wall grass, which the staff keeps manicured beautifully. Some late afternoon shade is available on the row that runs along the tree line. In late October the sun will feel good.
