Hey Lisa, with the shine that Jesse has on your trailer, the solar panels might produce so much juice they melt your batts. Solar shades??

Some guys are really handy like Don and you, John ...
It is nice to have a man around the house that knows what to do about stuff.
Saves me from having to learn guy stuff.

Projects? Did someone say projects? I am doing the dreaded bathroom floor repair on mine right now. I am documenting the process to the best of my limited ability and will post it all as I complete the project.

On another note, the last Vintage Airstream podcast was devoted to hitch setup. Tim and Colin interviewed Andy from Can Am Airstream and it was an excellent hour of conversation and great information.

Id also like to thank all of my brother and sister veterans for their service to this great country we live in.

Peace

Thinking more about doing Dutch Oven workshop(s), (I'm a compulsive planner, and only have 4 months) it might be helpful and fun to do some cook-together things, for those that have DO's and are interested.

I am perfecting at home a new, single-loaf, bread recipe that is super-simple and can be done by anyone....will fine-tune it in the DO when we are next on the road in January. Certainly, bread is what we do most often in ours, but we have a couple of other easy and predictably good items, too.

I was thinking Gary & I could plan a couple of items people can do together, give an ingredient list ahead of time for those that want to participate, then at an appointed time we just all do them together.

????

Speaking of projects and helping each other.......

Am I the only one who has noticed the conspicuous absence of Terry and Marie on this thread? Terry, Overlander63, helper-extraordinaire who spends all his time doing for others at these things?

I know from last year that he might not be able to give his usual 180% at rallies any more, but did pm Marie about whether they were going to be able to come.

Waiting to hear a definitive response. Hope they will be able to be with us.

Maggie,

I'm actually in going to fire up a DO today and try a couple of basics. I'll follow up later after I have something to taste.

We have a outing later this month and plan is to do a beef roast with taters and such at our campout.

This is getting good.

The Helping Hand idea is to post the project and see if someone can pitch in, so projects need volunteers to assist.

I'll volunteer to work projects. I can do woodworking, some minor sheet metal work and I have a bunch of tools. (I will politely decline if the project is polishing a trailer)

Bob,

Thanks. We just need to match people up with the job and helper.

Can I hook up now? Please!

Sorry to say yes, it's his. New baby, not enough room. Can't talk them out of selling. They are looking at a 5'ver, so at least they will still be camping with us. Our other son already has a humongus 4-slide condo 5'ver.

One of these years they will both come around.

She said everyone wanted to know where the best sites were, and how close to the action they could get. She assured everyone not to worry, they were all good and everyone was in the thick of it. I got a kick out of it. She is so nice, so friendly and helpful, and excited at our coming. One of SC's finest. John
John, she recognized my voice as well, not quite the same results; I had to put Karen on the line to sooth things over so she wouldn't call security. I think it is your charming tenor. Go figure.

Brad, all our southern belles have a natural ability to detect those yankee speaking, potential trouble makers their mothers warned them about. They even know how to weed out the ones disguised as Georgian.

Good move, putting Karen on the line to smooth things over so the ranger won't be waiting to present you a new set of SC made bracelets. Wateree is only 40 miles north of Columbia, home of the Big House, where they make little rocks out of big rocks.

Just to make sure, I will call to the Park and vouch for you.

Hmmm.......some single malt???

Well, what makes you-all think I'm not from around here? I drink "pop" just like everyone else, and I enjoy "Coca Cola".

Phil

ps Are you offering single malt, or suggesting a "stipend" for your work?
