Chief, I can't believe you would mention Kentucky Bourbon to a Tennessee Streamer. Now, had I been able to attend, I would have provided a proper Tennessee sippin whiskey to one and all (or at least until the bottle ran out).
Somebody, 2 Air, keep some pics posted so we will know exactly what we are missing. Stay warm.

We are set to leave in the morning. We just need clear roads! The snow dusting is sticking to the ground but hopefully the roads are too warm and will continue to stay that way. *hoping the wind will pick up and dry the roads before morning*

Well there's a good handful or two of us here, and it's not real chilly, but it is drizzling a bit of rain. It sounds nice and will provide good sleeping music.

A half gallon of Jim is $10 cheaper than the same size Jack in my part of the world. A bottle of Jim is always on hand in my rig.

Yesterday was a great day at Topsail - we hit 60 degrees and had clear skies most of the day until evening when the light rain started. About 20 of us gathered in the clubhouse (with favorite beverages) to watch the national championship game on a big screen projection system. A fun party!

Gang, I think we're not coming. There is a drip in the coolant system this morning that wasn't there yesterday afternoon, and I'm just tired of working on the truck.
I hope everyone enjoys the rally.

We're going to head out anyway. Either I solved the leak or reduced it enough to not drip.

I am afraid we will have to bow out also (site 157). We really didn't have snow on the south side of Atlanta--we had sleet/snow mix that froze. The schools are closed today and the kids couldn't even make snow balls...it's white, but just ice particles. Last night's weather report said we wouldn't get above freezing until after the weekend. I just don't want to take any chances with the Airstream on slick roads. We were so looking to this trip but hope to see ya'll next year.

Miss y'all!
A whopping 22 degrees at high noon in the sun in Tennessee is ridiculous. I'm sorry to hear about so many of you having to cancel. My sympathies to you.
Just a snow dusting for us by most standards, but the Tradewind would be much happier at Topsail right now.
All you lucky people at the Opener have fun and post pics!

85 south of Atlanta is still a challenge with those concrete barriers running on both sides. We filled our propane at the Ace hardware in Sandestin-just pass the outlet malls on the right. The on close by was "out" plus they were very rude.

As you all know we was headed for the can opener, but got turned back by bad weather. We did not make it home either. The road [I-40] from Knoxville to Sevierville was down to one lane each direction. We got off at I-40 exit 407 our exit is 417 then 8 miles to our house. Well we are still sitting at Ripplin Water campground. The road to our house is a steep up hill then a steep down hill with a hair pin turn at the bottom.Everything is snow covered and icy. No sun, no salt and no guts. We hope to get home tomorrow. The weather sure did put the halt to our vacation. Hope to see some of you at Springstream in April.
We are having our own happy hour with strawberry daiquiris. Wish you were here.
