Starting trip w Propane

New owner 2020 27ft FB Flying Cloud getting ready for 1sr trip. Currently have AS stored in outdoor lot w no hookups. Propane tanks are currently off. I would like to turn the refrigerator on before I leave. Is there any other steps besides
1 setting battery power On 2 turning on propane 3 setting refrigerator to Auto?

Are these the correct steps and after I get to the site and hook up shore power is there any other steps I should take?

Yes, after you turn on propane and power, light the stove first. Once stove burning cleanly then turn off and start refrigerator.

Welcome to the forum.

You should read your owner's manual on all these issues.

Do you have solar panels which have been keeping the batteries charged? If not, your batteries may be dead if the trailer has been stored for over 2 weeks without shore power IMO. What kind of batteries do you have BTW?

When you get to the trailer, turn the Use/Store switch to Use, and report on the battery voltage in your panel readout. The discussion can proceed from there, but you would be well advised to figure out the state of the batteries ASAP, as your plans may have to change if they are dead. The fridge will not run without adequate battery power. [hopefully over 12.1 volts]

You might also want to call your AS dealer/sales person to get their guidance.

You should light a stove burner to get the air out of the lines before turning the refrigerator on. If you don't the burner may not light and the fridge will turn on the check light. Also, your battery needs to be charged to provide voltage to the circuit board for the fridge to function.

Besides the items above, your plan is fine. When you get shore power to the trailer the fridge should auto switch to electric. When you disconnect shore power it should switch back to gas.

From experience, I have done these steps:

For Propane:

Switch from AUTO to Propane
Turn OFF fridge
Count 5
Turn ON fridge

I know what you will say, isn't AUTO suppose to do that. Yes, in most cases it does. However, as I said, from experience, I find what I said to be more on the sure side.

When our fridge, or any other appliance for that matter, is acting up, a "hard reboot" seems to help. [Off -- wait a bit -- On]

Wondering when you will be getting to the trailer, checking the batteries, and so forth? I forgot to emphasize in Post #3 that, after turning on the Use/Store switch, you should check the battery voltage next . . . before you plug into shore power.

Later -- at any time when you are on shore power, and want to check the battery voltage again, you have to wait an hour or so to do so, after unplugging from shore power.
