Propane refill question

Our one tank needs refilling; must I take off the tank? I don't think I can lift it easily. On our MH the tank was not removable and was fillable.

Does the flip valve or whatever you call that thing that changes which tank is being used flip over to the other tank automatically?

If you are in a park that offers propane sevice the truck will come to you. The other option is to tow the trailer to the propane place and have the "kid" lift it off and back on.

I would reccomend turning off the gas on both tanks when you remove the tank for refill. The switchover regulator is suppose to block off the gas, but I have seen them leak.

I would say shut both gas valves off then take your bottle cover off then you can take your bottle off. It can be done in less then 5 minutes. Once a bottle is empty they weigh next to nothing..

As THK has said I would reccomend shutting the bottle off that remains. if you are worried about your LP on fridge it will be ok for up to 5 hours in the right conditions. even easier turn it to A/C.
