Propane Gas
A good place to get propane gas if you are near Loganton, Penna. Kauffman's Store. They only charge 50 cents/pound so a 30 pounder is only $15 and that includes the sales tax! Discount for 3 or more tanks! An Amish general store they also sell horse and buggy equipment if you are really traveling primitive! 22 Meadow Ln, Loganton, PA 17747 (570) 725-3679

I don't want to go off topic for this thread as it is a recognition of Kauffman's Store. However, I do want to point out that farm commodity/supply stores like Kauffman's, Tractor Supply, etc. are excellent places to buy propane (and other supplies that are used on RVs). I've found that these types of suppliers are generally courteous. Plus, they are selling the propane as an agricultural commodity and are extremely price competitive!
All my best,
Steve

The Amish generally don't have any websites. Too fancy!

My local tractor supply does not sale propane. Not saying that all are like my local store, but I wouldn't depend on tractor supply as they may or may not provide propane sales.

Some U-Haul stores sell propane.
We have horizontal tanks, and evidently they are an older style. One evening we stopped at a truck stop and asked for propane. They didn't know how to fill our tanks. Same problem at two more gas stations. So we found a place close by to spend the night. In the morning we went to Camping World. Same story. BUT at least they knew who would know how. They sent us down the road to U-Haul. The guy at U-Haul acted like ours was the only tank he knew how to fill. Had us filled and on the road post haste.
I don't think I'm detracting from the people in PA. We were in ID at the time.

I have horizontal tanks too and that has caused problems on occasion. Forty pound, NON-OPD valve tanks are still legal, but some places don't realize this.
I'm not saying that all Tractor Supply stores have propane. However, often farm supply stores do sell propane at relatively low price points!
