Thanks so much for the comments re: "retirement". My hope is that I'll remain busy, but have the option to stay busy with things I have a passion for, or at least enjoy. Not that I haven't enjoyed my employment years, but perhaps my activities might take on a different focus on my own interests.
If I learn anything of interest/important with regards to door opening angle, I'll report it here. Hopefully, someone who has walked in these shoes will clarify all questions.
Meanwhile, I'll report a slightly inconvenient story...If anyone uses those "meals delivered by mail services", I'm talking Blue Apron, and the like...not to take the discussion off in that direction, we should start a new thread for that, but you end up with a bunch of freezer gel packs---they can be convenient, or a pain.
Upside, they hold temperature a long while, and are self-contained---freeze and use. So I slipped a pair of these in my less than 90 degree access freezer (can't get the door all the way down for easy access, either). They froze solidly to the freezer floor, and due to the access angles, I could not get anything in to pry them loose. Bottom line, I couldn't get them out without defrosting the freezer, and I couldn't use the freezer for anything else, being fully occupied by immovable gel packs. Hopefully, lesson learned!
