Access to Sirius XM antenna

I need to alter the mounting of the Sirius SRA-50 flush mounted antenna on our 2017 Grand Tour as it is now blocked partially by a solar panel I mounted. The challenge is getting to the lock nut holding the antenna in place. I've removed the Interstate control panel cover to try to get access from the side, but the angles for reach are not sufficient to unscrew the nut. Once I get access, I can install a 4" pedestal mount that Shakespeare makes for the SRA-50.

My questions then is...how do I carefully remove the felt ceiling piece to provide about 12" of working space directly above the control panel where the antenna is located?

Hi, I was just curious what solution you came up with. Thanks.
