2013 Airstream Interstate Sound and Video

I am wanting to upgrade my 2013 Interstate's audio and video systems. I would like to add 2 upgraded TVs, and install a built in satellite system. I am also interested in adding a subwoofer to the existing radio. Does anyone have any suggestions on placement of subwoofer and satellite? Also, any suggestions on where to have the items installed. I live in Northern California. Thanks.

In our last Interstate we installed subwoofer under side rear seats above wheel well. Sound was good but not enough bass transfers to front of coach.

In our new one we will do the same for rear sub but will be looking for location for one in front of coach.

Live in Florida so can't help with installers over your way.

I have a friend who has a SOB RV and he took it to car toys and they redid just about everything. It was not cheap but the sound both inside and out is out of this world. He has me thinking about hauling my 2014 up there.

I had the dealer install the in motion satellite system, it is called a Road trip mission and I believe it is compatible with dish or Direc TV however it will not receive digital from Direc TV, at least not last years model. Regarding the sound system, I took mine to a local shop here in Missouri and had them replace all the factory speakers, add an amp which was placed under the front passenger seat and a Kenwood sub under the small seat behind the stove top. The sound is a dramatic improvement. As another poster has suggested the sub is a ways back there but I'm able to turn it up enough to make it sound good in the front. There are plenty of adjustment capabilities with the in dash unit. I'm attaching a couple of pictures of the sub install which I did myself because the shop here just raised the seat and threw it in You can get the 90degree bracket at Lowes and paint it black. You will have to use wood screws to attach to the sub but will need to use nuts and bolts to attach to the wood. I tried wood screws first and the sub shook them out. I don't listen to music very loud but those things really shake.

Thanks Jeff64,

This is what exactly what I was hoping to find out. Were you able to tap into the wiring (for the sub speaker) from under the seat? Wiring for the amp I imagine is done from behind the radio/dashboard and wired directly under the front passenger's seat? What size sub speaker did you do with?
