Spiral Stairs

Thought I would share what I did so our little 9 lb. dog could get up and down from the bed. I added a piece of 3/8" plywood to the top of the mattress base so it fills in the space to the wall. I find it no more difficult making up the bed since every time I tried walking along that side I either hit my head or tripped in that narrow space. Plus, now we have a place for the throw pillows to go and the dog sleeps on the pillows.

HAHAHA!! Very nice! I saw the title and thought spiral stairs... in an AS?!? Very good idea for the doggy steps. Ours bed is now sitting way to high even for our 2 boxers (getting too old at 10years to jump too high). Our bulldog has no chance of making it up our 2 foot bed height. Hrmm... Maybe an electronic lift in the hall... uh oh.

Nice job! I will need something like that. My 8 lb yorkie has bad rear legs and he has stairs for the house but I doubt they will fit in the AS.
