Scales
went to scales today, just want to know if this sound ok.
2007 toyota trundra. with 2011 30' internation.
full tank of gas, bed of truck loaded for camping, with generator.
trailer loaded for camping.
2 people and 1 dog in truck
propane and 1/8th of a tank of water.
steer axle: 3440
drive axle: 3720
trailer axle: 6440
gross weight: 13,600

I have a Reese 54970 with 1,200 lb bars. the dealer traded out my 750 lb hitch.

Did you note the weight for each trailer axle? I have the 07 Tundra crew max 4wd but my 31' AS weighs less. The weight ratio of my TV axles was similar to yours and the AS rear axle weighed less than the front axle. I shortened the WD chains by ONE link and the result was the AS axles then weighed the same and about 125lbs transferred from the TV rear to the front.

thanks , not sure if my bars are to much. Do I need to go to 1000 lb bars, or does it make a difference.

went up one link and back to scales. now steer-3300
drive-3480
trailer-6300
gross-13080
rides about the same but is more level. thank all for the info. only one in truck.
