Looking for Sean Woodruff

Does Sean Woodruff post on this Forum anymore? I would like to hear his advice on the proper maintenance of the Pro Pride hitch to avoid any possible disaster from the lack of proper care. I would like to know the proper procedure for tearing one down to inspect, repack, replace worn parts, and reassemble. Is there anyone that has done the above that would like to share their experience? We love our Pro Pride, and are in the process of planning a long trip and I would like to make sure everything is ready for it. Sean, if you read this please take a moment to respond.

If you want to speak with Sean then perhaps you should call him. He does post here but his toll free number is the way to reach him.

The owner's manual discusses greasing the tension bars through the zerk fittings every 1,000 miles. No discussion for any type of tear down.

I routinely check my PP and pump some fresh grease in the zerk fittings, but I'm also curious as to whether or not something else needs "freshening" after around 20,000 miles and 2 years. Did remove the covers on the two jacks....the gears had plenty of grease, but I added a bit more since I'd opened them (very carefully!)... BTW, I just finished an 8,200 mlle, 3 1/2 week trip -- all kinds of weather and terrain (including the Rockies)....and a couple of major windstorms. All I can say is my ProPride rocks! Oh, and I think the people who are "maintaining" the Indiana Toll Road should pay US for the horrible state of the pavement.

Agree about the Indiana toll roads. I was up there a few weeks ago. Spent $43 to drive on some of the worst highways I have ever been on. They were so bad that I will never complain about Mississippi roads again.

Indiana sold the toll road to a outside company for a quick 3.8 billion. I predict they will go out of business and dump it all back on the state.

You guys in the USA have no idea what a bad road is! Come up to Canada and give our roads a try. Then you will know the definition of a "Bad Road"...lol

That looks like something Red Green would build.

Doug was that at Encampment, WY? Michael actually there is a very 'real' reason for that configuration of an outhouse.

I love a good mystery, but let me guess. When the snow is 7 ft it is easier to climb stairs than dig it out.

I have called, left messages and emailed, no response. They are still in business I assume??? He used to post on here all of the time, answering questions and offering advice and opinions, but hasn't been on here for quite some time. I just wanted to know the proper way to tear one down to inspect, repair, and or replace suspect parts.

I guess I will post on this thread on propride and outhouses!

I purchased a used propride and would like to comment on wear. One thing I was sent when Sean exchanged my weight bar (the original owner had two different bars ?!?) was a pair of those small metal discs. They were worn some on my used one.

Sorry did not mean to high-jack what is actually an interesting thread! I two have a ProPride hitch and it's always good to get some ideas as to what to watch for as far as wear and possible service.
