Bring-a-long Bronco

I've bought and worked on my 67 Overlander for summer travel. I'd like to be able to bring my '76 Bronco. Any ideas on how? Triple tow? Both on one long gooseneck trailer? A patio/car carrier addition to the AS?

If it were a 78 I'd say tow with it!! I like the little broncos but the big broncos I love.....

I wouldn't suggest triple tow (illegal in many places) or the addition (trailer frame isn't strong enough) but both on a trailer may just be the ticket. Many campgrounds have limits on the number of vehicles allowed per site so you might have to find storage for the flat bed or your tow vehicle once to a location. Do you have a second driver that could simply drive it to location for you?

as much as my 4 year old would love to drive - i don't quite trust her behind the wheel yet.

ok - so removing the 8 ft bed from my F250 and adding some sort of flat bed... but then that would have to be pretty long I think... not sure what would hold the Bronco. Also seems expensive! Has anyone altered their tow vehicle like this for thispurpose? It is set up for a gooseneck and a bumber tow.

we are mostly in states that allow triple tow under 65 feet. If I left those states I would just leave bronco if that was my final solution. I guess with the flatbed idea for both, I would have to have some sort of wench to get the AS on and off.

You can't or really should not tow anything behind the airstream, especially the older ones, the frames are not built for it, if you bend/twist the frame at all you could crease body panels and or create an ongoing nightmare of structural issues. You might be able to triple tow with the bronco in the middle, but i'd worry about frame and suspension issues with that as well, all of that plus triple towing is illegal in many states for a reason, it can be dangerous and extremely difficult to navigate.

The big flatbed trailer for both would be the best/safest option in my opinion but you could get into clearance issues.

If you are set on it I'd look into that option. I would forget the others unless you want to trade your current TV in on a rollback/flatbed truck that would handle the bronco plus the tongue weight of the AS.

Your bronco can pull the AS on to and off the flatbed without problem. Wouldn't tow any real distance with it but for loading purposes would be safer and easier than trying to winch the AS on to a flatbed.
