Airstream has stepped up to reduce their carbon footprint by making a generous donation to the National Forest Foundation to plant trees. Enough trees will be planted to offset emissions for all trailers and motorhomes sold by Airstream in 2021. That's 118,405 trees!
The new Caravan to Carbon Neutral program also welcomes owners to contribute, planting even more trees and both current and prospective Airstream owners can participate in this stewardship program. Green initiatives are a long standing endeavor for Airstream who use renewable energy credits at the production facility.
AIR Forums members who are participating in this program will have a nifty new badge displaying on their posts to recognise their participation in this important program and to encourage others to participate.
We're thrilled to partner with Airstream on this initiative and want to congratulate members who have stepped up to green up the planet. Those newly planted trees will sequester an estimated 125 tons of carbon over the course of the tree's lifetime.
