Replacement Glass

Have 1976 Sovereign with a shattered curb side bedroom window, 30" curved type, can you buy just the glass? Anyone know where to order if so? Thanks

Glass "ONLY" has never and will never be available by itself.

Next issue is Airstream will not sell the gray gasket.

After that, you will have much trouble getting the two halfs of the sash apart, and that's after you drill out the hinge rivets.

Then, you will find that getting the 2 halfs back together again, "properly", becomes an almost impossible task.

Of course now you have to rivet the hinge back in place, as well as replace the black exterior gasket.

Then you will learn, that the hinge has now developed something other than a straight shape, making the reinstallation a real bummer.

You can however purchase the "glass and sash".

Glass shops don't have tempered curved glass available.

If you like pain, go for it.

You can order this part from your local Airstream dealer. No need to pay the extra shipping. Windows are not cheap, but a necessity. You might be able to buy a used one from the Airstream bone yard in Nebraska.
