Yes, the weather is heavenly in AZ right now. During the summer month's heat we won't do much RVing in the southwest... that's when we would go to the Northwest or elsewhere for RVing. Or just stay home in Scottsdale. But the rest of the year is practically summer like and very comfortable here.
We did spend summer before last here in the 43' Class A, while we were house hunting. It was quite comfy in the coach, but it has three high power AC units and we ran at least two of them 24/7 during July and August, sometimes all 3 of them. But that's what they're for... to keep us comfortable regardless of the climactic conditions.
If and when we change over to an Airstream for RVing, we're not likely to be RVing in the middle of summer here, but either be at home or traveling somewhere north of here. I'd still like to have window awnings and two AC units in the 30 Flying Cloud, just in case they will come in handy.
