GOOD start...

Save that air pump for the pressure water system, if it still works someone may want it, at least the limit switch.

It's not a compressor. It is a belt driven PAR water pump. They purred like kittens.

Cheers, John

That mess looks a lot like what I took out of my Safari. People sure get creative when repairing leaks. Seems to me it wouldn't take much more effort to repair the pipes correctly.

The new setup all laid out. despite all the extra fittings (second photo shows my returns pile) i’m short one tee and a 1/2”-3/4” hose adapter (for city water) and i should have gotten all double-slip valves instead of slip+female. one more trip to lowe’s and i can start putting it together, i think. it would be nice if the valves had a flat side with screw-down holes! some outstanding questions:

where do i need check valves?
where should i have ball valves?
do i need a winterizing drain for the hot water? where?
