Black Tank Treatment with macerator toilet

In our 26U Flying Cloud we have a macerator toilet. In previous units where there is a simple ball valve we simply dropped in a treatment pellet. But now with the macerator I wonder if it's better to go to a liquid treatment for the black holding tank. My concern is that the plastic coating of the pellet may gum-up the macerator function.

I see nothing in the owners manual that addresses this issue...thoughts?

Cheers!

I use liquid tank treatments, sometimes. But never the plastic packets of powdered treatments.

I also add Dawn dishwashing liquid to help break down solids.

And just before I get ready to dump the black tank I take advantage of having a wet bath to spray HOT water from the shower head into the toilet and then into the black tank, to help further break down solids as well as providing a greater liquid-to-solid ratio so the macerator pump doesn't have to work as hard.

I have used the soft plastic bags of tank deodorizer in the black tank for 2 1/2 years with no problems. Before draining the black water tank, i fill it up completely with fresh water from the foot pedal to insure plenty of liquid in the tank and plenty of hydrostatic pressure to help the macerator push the material through
