Modernism Week, Trailer Show, Question

Considering going to Palm Springs for the last weekend of the Modernisim Show to see the Vintage Trailer Show.

Question: Have you been before, was it a good showing and do you recall how many of the trailers were Airstreams.

I am thinking I would like to see at least 6 - 10 trailers mostly Vintage Airstream to make it worth the drive.

Thanks for your input.

Giving this a small selfish bump to see if anyone want to respond.

My recollection is that there are 20 to 30 trailers and motorhomes. Airstreams are the most popular but there are several other brands.

We make it a day event.

Hi there -
I'm the producer of the 2013 & 2014 Mod Week Vintage Trailer Show - had so much fun as a participant & People's Choice Award Winner ('69 Tradewind) in 2011. We're expecting approximately 30 - 32 vintage trailers to be on display Feb 22nd & 23rd at the Hilton parking lot. Super excited with the diversity in vintage trailer that will be on display......lots of moving pieces but I can say that we'll have at least two vintage AS, probably a classic AS MOHO and another three in discussion plus lots of other fun surprises. Hope to see you there Hittenstiehl, and can't wait to see you Bill & Beth (wkerfoot)

Do tickets need to be purchased in advance, or can one pay upon entry, and what is the cost?

Thanks!

Well thank you much. I will keep watch and possibly post you back to see if those 3 in discussion come thru. We are in early stages of a refresh and looking for visual input. Thx again.

Tickets are purchased onsite and I believe that the cost is less than $25 each, but I could be wrong. Mona will know for sure.

They're available on line and also at the gate on Saturday & Sunday

I celebrate the anniversary of my 12th birthday every year. Does that count?

I highly recommend this fabulous show of vintage trailers which we have attended for several years now. Yes, there will be Airstreams but so much more! Tow vehicles, various vintage rigs, folks attired in vintage clothing…and the location! Palm Springs in February is the best, see you there!

I am planning on going. Put in a request to Happy Traveler RV park but also booked the Vagabond Inn to be on the safe side.
If anyone has any ideas on another RV park, please keep me informed. I would love to take the Airstream.
Only booking the 21st to the 24th.

Sounds like there will be a good number of forum attendees. There are lots of nice pics of previous shows in Pinterest. Monah could you give us an update when you firm up the number of Airstreams that will be showing. Thanks
