Well, the important part is that they were thinking of you. And the best part is that if they live in England, they won't be dropping by the house to see if you put it up or not I have a friend who's mother-in-law gave them an awful carved tropical fish which doesn't fit in at all with their log cabin home (it wouldn't really fit into most homes, actually), and they have to remember to pull it out of the closet everytime the in-laws come over!

Janet,
No offense intended. You asked for an opinion and gave 2 choices.
We all have different tastes, mine happens to be Wedgewood.
My sincere apologies.

Perhaps the very existance of this marginal plate is a service to those with ho hum dinner ware....... even corelle looks elegant by comparison.

The deeper question here is: who would actually borrow money to buy the 2 door wonder featured on the dish?

Put some food on the plate and it would no longer be tasteless.

No kidding, I love that plate Janet. I think it's cool. But then it doesn't take much to make us smile around here. Sometimes you just have to step back and smile at yourself and put things in perspective. All people are peculiar.

Searched for a tacky thread and yours popped up. Here's my contribution to "tacky" art. Brad's new Gel Gems and a souvenir from Spokane.

Hi, I think that plate would look great with a three layer chocolate cake on it.
