Cold, do you check on your AS ?

It is colder than normal here in Tennessee lately.

I look out at the silver bullet and the top is frosty and inside has to be very cold since it has been around 15 to 20 degrees during the day.

I walk by and want to go in but I know it's cold and depressing inside.

I looked inside about 3 weeks ago and all was well but I just can't seem to get the desire to go in now since it's so cold.

Does anyone else check often ?

How often ?

It just sits there cold and grey..........

Well considering the fact that mine doesn't have an interior at the moment...

BTW picture is from winter of 2009...we hopefully won't see that much snow again for a while!

I don't. Not too sure what extreme cold could do it it - nor what i could do about it anyway! I tend to be more concerned if we have heavy snowfalls or lots of rain, hail, high winds etc.

Can't say I've ever had much problem here in winter time despite low temps.

I generally go to the storage yard about a half hour away in mid-feb to pick up the trailer for a trip south. They do a good job of keeping access open, but I take a snow shovel just in case plus an air pig in case I have a low tire!

Usually all is fine!

Living way north of the 49th, our Bambi 19 has spent two winters sitting outside in -20 to -30 (C) temps for many many months (winter starts in Oct and can go to May). I usually check on it every few weeks just to make sure everything looks okay -i.e. no mouse poop anywhere, no leaking antifreeze, windows intact, vents not allowing blown snow in, all glue and seals intact. Mostly, though, I just feel sorry for it sitting outside in the bitter cold for 7-8 months and want to say, "hi". I also shovel away any snow that might've piled up around the wheel wells, hitch, etc. to eliminate an easy route for any wee critters that want to go exploring. I figure that long as you winterized correctly and left cabinets, fridge, etc. open to vent, there shouldn't be a problem for you 'a way down south ;-)

I can't help but check in on things at the trailer every few days. Mostly, since I'm in a storage yard, I just want to be sure she is still there. Then I just want to see that no trees or branches are down or I don't have a flat, or that everything is secure. About one time a week I'll go inside and check for mice or evidence of leaks. It helps to go on a sunny afternoon as the trailer warms up inside a bit. Since your trailer is stored on your property, you can leave one of the curtains open and peek inside! And like everyone else, usually everything is just fine.

The first step is to admit you have a problem. We all do.

I have a problem........

I got the nerve to check today and all is good.

Looks exactly the same as when I last looked at it.

Cold but good.

Robbie R. Co...., Col......, Cold here in Cleveland too. I bought a small circulating heater and pluged it. Set it about 45. Check mine about every 2 weeks. Wish it were warmer to at least work on something or go someplace. I to have a problem (sometimes I go out and just take a picture see if something strikes my interest, photographic artistically).
