Thanks for the comments RFP, I see what you are saying about the dinette in the middle being weird. I'm not a big fan of the corner bed/small bath and was looking to avoid that. The corner bed is a major PITA to make with fitted sheets.

There is a wrestling match to install the fitted sheets on our 23D corner bed. But there is a similar challenger with the twin beds in our Classic with the fitted bottom sheet. The only design that makes changing sheets easy is a bed with access from three sides...

Ah yes, there are many things that are better in concept than in actual practice. To me, the "queen bed" in he 23FB is just such a thing.

I understand. However, neither Linda nor I find the slightest problem with the "small" bath. Actually we prefer it. First of all, the shower is great, plenty of room for us more-or-less-average-size people. As for the potty, we usually just leave the bath door open and pull the accordion divider closed. Result: plenty of room. The vanity are is Linda's delight. She can sit on the edge of the bed and take care of all that glrlie-stuff with comfort and convenience.
Of course, you already know all this stuff, it's just our perceptions are a bit different. Good for both of us!
Anyway, we get all that lovely lounge space in the 23D, and that's where we spend most of our time... certainly not in the bathroom!

Awning issue on 23D 2008 manual
Hi all
Well I opened my awning today and one of those small knurled knobs that you pull to adjust the awning arm came off in my hand! Looking more closely the previous owner looks like tried to epoxy it back on when same happened to him! All others of these knobs look fine and work fine. I was able to continue opening and agustina the arms by using pliers to grab what little of the “ pin” is sticking out. But this is a pain in the behind. Especially if it’s dark out. Anyone out there have any tips or thoughts on how to replace this small piece or somehow refasten it? Thanks

Update on my Electric jack blowing up. I contacted Barker Manufacturing who made the jack and they sent me a new, 3500, motor free of charge with a return label to return the old jack so they could try and figure out the problem. Great customer service!

The Routine Stuff
Last time I had our trailer in to the dealer they commented that I needed to get some paint on the tongue.......
It’s a bit of a job but I was able to complete it before taking it out for the first trip of the season 😀

Looks good. Since we didn't go anywhere because of the pandemic I did the same thing last summer. It looks much better now, although yours needed it more than mine. I also did my stabilizers.

Yesterday we finished replacing the two stock 3,000 pound rated axles with 10" drum brakes on our 2015 23D International Serenity that scales 6,069 pounds. It was built in September of 2014.
The replacement Dexter 3,800 pound rated axles have 12" Dexter dual caliper disc brakes and a 3" lift is built into the axle support brackets. We have the Dexter hydraulic brake fluid pump mounted in the front battery box. We had to go from five to six lug SenDel wheels due to brake size increase. We installed new 15" Michelin LTX ℗ 235/75R15 XL Defender series tires the same size as we have used for years, first on our 2013 25FB International Serenity and now on our 23.
A Lithionics 315 amp hour lithium battery was installed (smaller and lighter than the prior 300 amp hour lithium battery) with a Xantrex 3012 converter charger (replacing a Magnum MSH3012), and Victron solar charger and smart battery isolator to allow tow vehicle charging of the lithium battery. We retained the existing five 100 watt solar panels on the roof.
We installed a new 5G capable cell antenna on the roof with a Peplink four ethernet port modem with WiFi.
The Dometic Air conditioner received a MicroAir Easy Start and a new MicroAir thermostat on the wall. The television was upsized as well.
The funky cushion on the dinette seat by the door (same funky pillow on most FB and RB 25/26/27 models) is being replaced by a hickory cabinet to at least make use of this wasted space.
The eight year old Hensley Arrow was replaced with the new Propride PPP hitch with the V2 jacks. We got a second stinger which will be configured for our 2021 Land Cruiser to be able to tow the 23D after the in-coil Firestone air bags for the rear coil springs and a 12.5 gallon auxiliary gasoline tank from Australia are installed.
We fixed the Rigid Industries rear LED lights circuitry so they again come on whenever the tow vehicle is placed into reverse or a manual switch by the door is energized.
This has been a very busy week at A&P Vintage Trailer Works in Paradise, TX. I drive the nearly 1,000 miles to get this type of work done as it will done correctly the first time and they have stood behind their work since 2014 for me.
The 23D is having a third visit and the Classic has been here five times. We expect to renew the Classic axles and go to Dexter Disc brakes with a three inch lift built in the support frames of the axles. We will go to 5,200 pound stock load axles up for the factory 5,200 rated axles. The Victron Orion Smart charger will also be installed on the Classic then as it was not available when we did the upgrade to the same equipment brands a year ago in the Classic.
The big deal to me is that the new battery related gear has a simple wall display but the details show up on my iPhone and iPad over Bluetooth. There is a conventional data display for both Xantrex 3012 units.

Hi Switz, can you give some more details on this? Which model of peplink router did you go with?

You want to look for full 5g and LTE capability on your antenna before purchase. We bought mobilemark 9 in 1 to address the sprint 5g LTE issue. www.mobilemusthave was vendor of choice. 2nd issue was routing. We used the existing hole under the roof mounted Zamp solar junction box to route AC shroud mounted antenna cables to Pepwave mounted behind and above fridge….anybody else notice how much wasted space is up behind microwave?

Need a favor-Picture of black tank pipe exit
The PO of my 23' (or the one before him) did some kind of repair on the black tank drain pipe, where it exits from the L/R corner. There was a lot of very thick tape (some still show in attached picture) and a black rubber patch over the area. There is a lot of what appears to be putty on the clamp that connects the exit pipe to the drain pipe. I was wondering if someone would have the time to take a picture of what this area is supposed to look like.

Thank you EarStreaming. Well, it certainly looks a lot like mine but the AS support person didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about that big sheet of rubber. Mine also had some kind of very thick tape over the top of the edges. I have some EPDM that would replace what I have there.
Again, thanks for doing that for me. I really appreciate the effort.
