Review Woes
When Writing a review, the options that come up at the bottom are cancel or preview. After one presses PREVIEW two choices appear. "Does this look right?" YES or NO. This leads one to believe that when pressing NO, that one goes back to the original review screen, so things can be edited etc. Not! It erases the review, never to be seen again. Happened to me twice. Takes time to write a review, so this might be a bit frustrating for others as well.
I vote for changing this to work more like the edit function in the regular posts.

Amen
Happened to me, too. I finally got frustrated and blew off posting the review at all.

I guess one way to get around this would be to "accept" the review post then go back and edit it...at least until a "real" fix is implemented.
I've been known to do that to correct typos...

Trouble is ...
you can't edit a review (or, at least, I haven't found a way to do it). Reviews are presented in a different format without the edit button.
What I finally learned to do is copy all my text before I look at it. If there is a typo, I just back up and paste the text back in. All I have to retype is the title.

Review function
I think perhaps the entire review section needs a revamp. Finding reviews is a bit difficult, too. When I go to the review screen, I find alphabet tabs and 2 vertical rows of black horizontal lines. I tried with different browsers and Operating systems, but it looks the same on all my computers.
Maybe one day, time permitting, our host can update this feature, because I think it could be an interesting addition to our forum. Right now it is not very easy to use. Might just be the weakest part of the forum. I sure appreciate all the other sections, though.

I agree
The review section, as presently defined, will get totally unwieldly if a lot of reviews are posted. Everything is mixed together and there is no good way to look for reviews on any particular subject or area of the country.
As a start, campgrounds and parks should be separated from other items such as sink covers. If indexing parks and campgrounds by state is too unwieldly, then perhaps indexing by section of country would help.

Agreed... as currently implemented, reviews aren't very useful.
It would be better to just establish a forum for reviews... then sub-forums for Dealers - Good or Bad for Northest, Southeast, etc, the same for Campgrounds - Good or Bad for NE, SE, etc., Towing/Parking Accessories, Exterior Products, Interior Products, and so on.
The interface for creating/editing for reviews would be the same as for other posts.
Just a thought...

Reviews
Yes, a sub - forum would be the only way to organize it in a logical manner. After thinking about this, there are very many categories for reviews, just like mentioned by everyone in this thread. It could have tremedous value to us, as we are a very captive audience. It might even generate interest from advertisers, so as to cover some of the cost of hosting the entire Airstreamforum, and provide funding for stickers or caps, t-shirts, etc. Hmm, my business brain just woke up....
Another possibility would be to add a function to the already existing forum, to where one could search out a thread or post that is atually written as a review. Then one could access it through the search engine on the forum, plus it would show up when people just browse through the different categories.I don't know much about programming, so please forgive me if I am suggesting a programming nightmare here.
