I was logged on to the Air Forums and keep the "Remember Me" box checked all the time. But I left for a while and when I arrived back at my computer just now the forum page said I was not logged in. So I logged in again and went to the following thread that I had been following. Several post made today that I had looked at earlier are now not there.

The only time I'm not remembered is when I delete my current browsing history in Internet Options menu.

The inactivity was about 2 hours. I have been inactive for weeks and still when I click on the Air Forums bookmark I am already logged in. But the question is ,in addition to being logged off the post that I read around 3:00pm today included on the thread in my orginial email are gone back to around 9:30 this morning. I have senior moments from time time to time but I don't think this is one of those cases.
It is not that you are logged in after a long period of inactivity, it is the cookie stored on your computer that automatically logs you in without any intervention. If you block cookies or somehow remove the cookie from this site, you would need to log in with your user name and password.
As far as the thread you referenced in your original post, several off topic posts were removed today.
