Help Identifying Trailer

Fellow streamers,

I have come across what I believe to be either a '60 or '61 Airstream Safari, based on research in vintageairstream.com. The trailer has a front dinette, curbside fridge, streetside kitchen, rear bath (toilet-streetside, tub curb side), and mid bedroom with curbside double bed and street side closet/cabinetry. The serial number is: 22DSS0391 and the manufacturer's plate only lists the California Airstream factory. Can anyone help me to identify the correct year and model?

Looks like you have a '62 Safari, built in Santa Fe Springs, California.

Ahh Terry -- I see it now. I was only able to give this a few moments before and it didn't look like the '60 & '61 VINs. There sure wasn't much of a system back in those days. Todd, you will see a pretty good match of the numbers for the California '62 Safari as Terry has said -- at the upper left corner of 62Safari

Funny thing though... the interior cabinetry looks more like a '60 than a '62. Overhead bins have sliding doors, not swing up (like on the '62). Exterior skin has no marking for the model name either....

It has a beautiful exterior skin, with the cool Wally Byam (wearing his beret) Airstream placard, and only one soft spot in the floor (right by the door). I'll try and post photos this weekend.
