Great polishing job, I am ordering my DeWalt and Cyclo polishers next week along with assorted accessories. Then off to work-I have allocated about 10 days to do my 72 Ambassador's exterior. Then I'll address some of the other issues. I like the way you "wadded" the cloth to avoid swirl marks on one of the pictures. Must have toned your arms somewhat!

Doug and Mona. Yes it has been forever. Yes we will be coming down for the street of eames as long as we can secure tickets. We have so much fun in your great city. Did you get my TCT rally invite? Our TCT rally is June 5-7, Lots of familiar faces. We will also have a camping week at Deming Aug 17-23 again with lots of familiar faces. Pat has moved his rally to the Lynden fairgrounds Sept 9-13. I don't know if we will be there. We did a Airforum rally on that weekend last year and had a blast. Looking forward to seeing your Airstream. Susan and Gerry

Doug & Mona, I'll try to stop by this week so we can talk airstream. For electircal, I had to update my AC/DC converter along with bypassing the tansformer (for some reason, they put transformers in the early caravels). For plumbing, I had to redo all of it. It had multiple breaks in the line.

I'd definately like to see your trailer. I've taken pictures of our trailer, I'll send you a link soon.

Doug, good to hear that you are refurbishing a 1969 25' Tradewind. Kibbie mentioned to me that you were taking on this project. We just finished our '66 Caravel. I used this forum all the time while I was updating our airstream. Kibbie said you might have some questions in regard to restoring your airstream. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

After the 2.5 year restoration of our '69 Tradewind you would think I could have learned a little patience!! It's been almost a year since I brought home BubbleLicious - my beloved '58 Bubble and, with a few distractions along the way, her restoration has begun in full force (yay!)

Electrical is all done (apparently I have more outlets than our electrician's apartment ), our custom-built 110v Fantastic Fan is installed, 95% of the insulation is installed and we're soooo close to

It's been a crazy busy year personally and professionally....sadly the only thing I haven't been working on is BubbleLicious, my beloved '58 Bubble. OK, well maybe that's an overstatement - she has a Design Board complete with materials and inspiration, and actually is fully merchandised....and....drumroll please, the remodel is about to begin! Her 1960's Overman couch is being recovered as we speak (read) and we're hoping to get the electrician in this weekend to start working his magic.

OK, so it's only 16' long and weighed hardly anything but the safety checks and theory are similar. Here's a link It to my latest installment of the AskMona blog on TrailerChix.com.

As a follow-up to Rose and her misfortune towing her Shasta, and quite the topic of conversation in our AS Unit....particularly since our Unit Prez came rolling into a rally last weekend pulling her 28' AS and NAILING the parking on the first go!!!

Hope you find it informative - safe travels
