If it is near you and the hauler charges $1.40 per loaded mile then the price here becomes $3500. Right? I have seen this one and may bid on it: eBay Motors: AIRSTREAM TRAVEL TRAILER 1955 FLYING CLOUD 22 FT N/R (item 190079074037 end time Feb-12-07 13:44:00 PST)

I have some better pics I took yesterday. Does anyone have images of the frame down under the radiused corners or know if the frame follows those radii?

Be careful

Since you are so close to this one, I suggest you go look at it before you buy. It's been on and off ebay for some time now and I don't think it's in very good shape. You may have to trailer it to get it home.
But as for the condition, if your going to cut it in 2 and do a major chop shop on it, then I guess this is a good choice. Cheap, old and in need of some major repairs.
Good luck! and keep everyone informed of your progress if go make the attempt.

Doorgunner, a good friend of my son's is an arranger of shipments worldwide so I could ask him to get me a quote. What kind of shape is that one in? It is in CA right? I think it would be 104" X 26' X 7'6".

that's been on ebay atleast three times i know of for the same price.

as a flying cloud owner, i'd hate to see one be chopped up and basically a dead S/N. flying clouds are not that common, especially the 13 panel ones. the one on ebay also has the california whale tail. it's a shame in the condition it's in but it would also be a shame to have 3' knocked off it.

Is the skin superior to this one on Ebay? And the Frame? I'll have to check into the shipping forum here.
