New 27 FBQ Question

We decided the 2004 Safari 25 SS was too small, and last week purchased a new FC27FBQ from Colonial. We’ll pick it up in early April. Would love to hear the top three things you’ve wished you’d done when picking up your trailer (or the top three things you’re glad you did)!

You’ve been a forum member for 4 years and reference a 25’ AS in your post, but not in your profile so I am not sure if this will be your first AS or not. There are plenty of threads in the AS forums on the subject of walk thru check lists so use the search feature and read/print up. If you have already owned an AS, you should know how most of mechanical systems work and what to look for.

Regardless, I recommend spending the night in it at the dealership after the initial walk thru. Going thru it with a fine tooth comb without the dealer hovering will be less stressful.

The one thing I didn’t do that I wish I would have, because it is now an issue on ours, is to use my infrared temperature gun to confirm the AC thermostat and remote sensor were reading and displaying the same (assuming you have 2 ac’s). If you don’t have one get one. They are useful to check the temps of tires, refrigerator insides, etc.

Will spend the night at the dealer, and a couple of days locally. I pulled my 2004 Safari 25 off my profile when we bought this trailer. Realize there are threads on walk-throughs, but was hoping for a few key points. Thanks for your tip on the infrared temperature gun.
