I couldn't agree more. I had actually been considering a Pergo-ish snap-together floating floor but they don't tolerate water too well, and given all of the water leak threads, it probably wouldn't be a good idea. Perhaps a linoleum made to look like wood ... ? I dunno. But SteveSueMac said no whining on the yacht... So... :-)

My current trailer has fake hardwood look roll vinyl flooring.
It's pretty even if it is fake.
