Aloha, we're going to be in the area sometime in June* for a couple of weeks, but we don't need a membership card. Wouldn't mind meeting you all. The Fairfax campground looks perfect.

*Our California kids moved to DC in Jan. The future DIL had only seen snow 3 times in her life. Hahahaha, she has seen a lot of snow in the past 6 weeks.

Darn, because I was going to say, if that included Airstream Store merchI was totally golden! I swear I have everything they have for sale! Ask Amy...the gal in charge of the store, she known me by name!

I guess that means I am in, too, and didn't even have to fill out an application. A lifetime member since 2009.

May I propose the following, with all apologies to TJ and friends:

WHEN in the Course of aluminum Events, it becomes necessary for one club that's not a club to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with the another........WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Airstream(er)s are created equal, that they are endowed by the Manufacturer, and ownership, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of_________(fill in the blank with whatever you want, ie; Happiness, a campsite with a water view, a cold beer, a quite generator, a duramax diesel TV)....That whenever any form of club becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the right of the Airstreamer to alter or abolish.....

I like the idea of a club like this where you can pick a leader and not follow him if you don't want and still be in the club that's not really a club, by virtue of the fact you are, as an airstreamer, in the club. I was in a car club that wasn't a club. We all had Pontiacs (GTOs, LeMans,Firebirds), just met and hung out, always had lots of fun, joined by a common interest. Kind of a pack of lone wolves.

I look forward to camping with some of you in the near future.

Rich

If your subclub sat around a campfire and told tall tales about caravans your airstreams were never on, you could be called V-FIB. Yeah, that was pretty bad!

Sounds like you are forming a gathering, meeting of the tribe, rally. what ever you want to call it.... let me know the dates and if we are free maybe we can come on down and camp with you. June is a fairly busy month for me, so I cannot promise, but will try.

I love the new club. I'll have to ask Frank if there's a member discount on the work he's doing for me at Frank's Trailer Works. 1961 Airstream Restoration

Well We are In. I think I like this Fellowship,Tribe, whats neat is we can call it anything we want.We are all bonded by the love of the same product. I too would rather drop the word club(opps) that slipped out. Reason Id like to drop that word, look whats happening to that other CLUB.Being that we are all bonded by the same product, there is no need to have a sub-club we are all equal under one name. We just need to be deciated to preserving those old Airstreams and keeping them on the road. I love seein em as much as you love showin em off.
Roger

We're back.
Looks like we need more members from out West.
Is this the start of the end of the WBCCI or the end of the end?

Are we far enough West? We have a Moho but it is aluminum and says Airstream across the front.

Ever think about group instead of club?

Airstream Owners Group or maybe Airstream Enthusiast Group.

Cheers, Dan

I've been a member of this great club for 3 years now. This year my dues are going to a black tank repair, and some exterior repair/modifications.

Where will your dues go this year?

Club just sounds like you are in or out and reading some of the different threads on this forum it sounds like some folks are out.

I'm definitely in!! I love the idea of The Airstream Tribe ~ the image of loosely affiliated folks roaming this wonderful continent, gathering as & when & where we can get a fire started. No time schedules set by others to adhere to, no 'costumes', pirate flags flown if you wish, cowboy hats in place of berets encouraged, lots of fun and folks truly caring for one another as Airstream folks as opposed to . . . ? . ? . . . I don't know what "as opposed to", or more properly stated - how to state the "as opposed to" part. I'm just fed up, WON'T TAKE IT ANYMORE and am glad this tribe has evolved. Blessings & peace be upon you all.
