I asked the seller, (MELANIE) what the floor construction is, and here's what I got back:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE EARTHBOUND. I DONT GET EXCITED ABOUT MANY RVS BUT THIS ONE HAS IMPRESSED ME. THERE IS NO WOOD IN THIS PRODUCT THAT IS ONE REASON WHY IT IS LITE & ROT RESISTANT
ALL ALUMINUM FRAMED VACUM BONDED CONTRUCTION WALLS FLOOR ROOF AND INTERIOR WALLS COMPOSITE SEAMLESS ROOF AND FLOOR INTERIOR & EXTERIOR
I HOPE THIS HAS ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION
MELANIE

From the ebay listing;
''THE MINUTE YOU WALK IN THE DOOR
THE INTERIOR REMINDED ME RIGHT
AWAY OF .....
UTILIZING... MARINE
CONSTRUCTION METHODS...
Me too, especially the straight backs on the sofa, try sitting on for an evening, but they do save space.

I like the frog. Maybe I could stick one of them on my trailer.

You really have to see one of these to believe it. I think the 29 footer only weighs about 6000 pounds. zz

I wonder how this new trailer stacks up in the out gassing dept.? The materials used in construction are said to be made of composites. To me, composites also can mean glues or bonding agents, plastics, and lots of them. Mostly all vehicles that are bought today have some problems with material giving off gasses, but some more than others. How does this new trailer stack up?
Is the insulation fiber glass or a foam bonded material?
Look at the shi t-storm FEMA got into with formaldahide out gassing in their trailers causing people to get sick, so I've read.
I'm not slamming anyone, just wondering how these trailers stack up. Seems it might be worth investigating further if you are considering one of these.

Bluto,
I'm not saying it's necessarily true, but they do claim this:
"Earthbound RV utilizes earth-friendly, family friendly, recyclable construction materials that are virtually V.O.C. (Volatile Organic Compound) free, so your carbon footprint stays small and your family can have piece of mind."

Thanks Aage,
I stand corrected. I'm glad to see that the problem I thought was there, is not a problem at all.

I think they are a cool idea. It will be interesting to see how they hold up over time. I had posted on RV.net (Woodalls, Trailerlife forum all the same) last year about this trailer. Some folks that have looked at them feel that the construction of the interior is not up to par for the price. Gee that sounds familiar. I do like the idea behind them and it should prove to be a good test bed for the materials. Even with the composite materials, I wonder if they can still suffer the usual SOB nemesis; delamination of the roof or sidewalls.

Maybe the floors, interior and exterior walls and ceiling are similar to AZDEL being used in Crossroads' Slingshot? A 29' Slingshot bunkhouse weighs under 4200 lbs. dry.
Later,

Check out the construction videos for the recently introduced Evergreen Ever-lite travel trailers. I believe they are constructed like the Earthbound.
