Talking My intro: looking to move to FL & live in Airstream

Hi, my husband and I are looking to buy a larger used Airstream to live in and travel. We are planning on moving to Florida, where we have lived before. Right now we live in VA.

Welcome

Welcome to the Forums, and now that you're registered you can begin updating profile, Avatar photo (upload small version of your own or pick one..) and use the magic "Search" tab above to find useful information...

The 3 best sources for used Airstreams nationally are: a) The Forums Classifieds here; b) The VAC Clasifieds at www.airstream.net ; and c) www.rvtraderonline.com

There are some good deals on E-Bay and a LOT of Fraud and misrepresentation... My choice would be to not buy on E-Bay unless you or a friend or member here can actually look at it, but that's just an opinion...

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

Welcome to the Forums from Florida

Welcome to the Forums. Don't forget to look in the Airstreamer classified section on the Company Website. What part of Florida are you going to? We live in the Panhandle between Panama City and Pensacola.

There is no practical way to live near Miami in an RV. There is one (1) county run RV park that has a mile-long waiting list. There are a couple of RV parks in the very south end of the county (vicinity of Florida City) that have full timers but they are, well, tired and in a sort of dicey area.

Zoning precludes buying a lot and plopping an RV down on it.

Check out Paradise Park in Punta Gorda.
It is a Airstream only park. Condo. lots or lots for rent. The park has lots to offer including a golf corse and pool.

Broward County

You should look into Weiner's Park in Dania Beach and Kozy Camper in Ft Lauderdale. Both in good areas and close to shopping.
